About our practice
For transmen and transwomen the choice to have reconstructive chest surgery or breast augmentation can be a long and difficult process.
At the clinic we are committed to helping patients at what can be a very anxious, and exciting, time by providing straightforward advice and a sensitive approach to some very personal decisions.
Chest reconstruction is available as an out-patient procedure with various options including keyhole or peri-areolar approaches, or a double incision technique.
Breast augmentation can also be performed on-site with a variety of implants to suit your specific needs and desires.
About Mr Yelland
Mr Yelland has considerable experience in chest reconstruction and breast augmentation and can guide you through your options to help remove the disparity between body and gender identity.
With many years in reconstructive breast surgery, onco-plasty, and breast augmentation, Mr Yelland frequently attends international conferences and educational seminars and workshops to share his knowledge and experience with fellow surgeons.
In 1991 he was awarded fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, with fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England following in 2001, and is highly regarded as a reconstruction and cosmetic breast surgery specialist.
Experienced, and friendly, professionalism
Our multi-disciplinary team offers a range of services at the clinics relaxed and friendly premises, helping to put patients at ease. The experienced staff are knowledgeable about MTF surgery and FTM surgery and will be on hand to answer any questions you have about your operation.
The clinic is easily accessible by road and public transport (either by bus, or rail then taxi), with parking available. MTF surgery and FTM surgery are usually conducted as out-patient procedures although many beds are available should it be in your best interests to stay overnight for monitoring.
Follow-up appointments can be made to help you during your recovery from gender confirmation surgery and clinic staff will be available to address any concerns you may have over both the short-term effects of your procedure and any desired revision surgery.
